Getting to know Imran.
A little about my experience, my approach and what I bring to our work together.

A little about my experience, my approach and what I bring to our work together.

I bring warmth, curiosity and careful attention to our conversations. I want to understand how life feels for you, including the experiences you find difficult to put into words.
Across many years in NHS Talking Therapies, I have worked with people whose experiences and needs are very different. That work has deepened my respect for each person’s story. I continue my NHS role alongside my separate private practice.
I have a Master’s in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Salford and a Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling. I’m also an IPT UK Accredited Practitioner, with specialist training in Interpersonal Psychotherapy for depression.

Interpersonal Psychotherapy
I’m interested in what your experiences mean to you. We can look at how past relationships, beliefs and patterns may be affecting life now, while staying connected to what you need in the present.
As things become clearer, we can consider what you want to change. That might mean setting boundaries, speaking more openly or making decisions that reflect your needs.
I offer individual therapy for adults. You can explore difficulties with a partner, family member or anyone else in your life without them attending. I do not offer couples or family sessions, or work with children.
I do not see my NHS clients privately.
An introductory conversation can help you decide whether you would feel comfortable working with me.
